First of all it's location, not too far from the airport and not too close so you can hear the airplane noise. I stay in this hotel mostly for transit after a long 21 hrs straight flight. So I'm always looking for a hotel that's quiet enough for me to battle my jet-lag. Overall, The room is clean and the staff is friendly. Pricing is in mid range, you probably can get somewhere else cheaper but maybe too noise. So I thought the price is reasonable. Free wifi and free shuttle service. Free breakfast but they don't open until around 6.30am. So I'm always out of luck since I leave at 6.00am to catch my next connecting flight.
Free breakfast opens at 6.30am. I usually starve to death by the time I got to the airport. Also there's no free bottle of water in the room. There's a vending machine outside on level 2, but it would be nice to have a free water in the room as a courtesy.
The rooms are ok, free internet. Parking directly beneath the hotel.
The breakfast is rather limited in choice.
the attitude of front desk was at all times friendly and helpful . didnt have one problem.
1) Location is good to stay for one night (between flights) or quick walk around the city (as to me San Francisco is worth maximum 2 days for sightseeing, so staying near the airport can also be a variant). 500 metres from Caltrain station (20 minutes ride to city and 15-30 minutes waiting for a train on average) 2 km from BART station 2) Free requested transfer from/to airport (just make a free call from shuttle bus stop to hotel, number 53): 15 minutes ride from airport 3) Room facilities: clean room, large space, stable wi-fi and bath facilities (everything except of toothpaste/brushes)
If you plan a long stay in San Francisco, you'd better to choose hotel in city center.
I liked the location near to the airport. And near to thecar hire depot
Good parking and convenient to sfo airport.
Bathroom door could not be left ajar.
Very good location if you have to sleep near to the airport. But it's the only reason to go this hotel!
Room very noisy (like all Howard Johnson!), is there really a wall between the rooms?
Complementary breakfast. Free shuttle to Sun Francisco airport.
The room and bathroom was clean, fresh and comfortable.
The shuttle bus driver which was to collect me from the airport did not make any effort to locate me in the very busy collection point, causing me to wait over an hour. The hotel staff and shuttle bus driver did not communicate effectively regarding my pickup, plus the driver did not assist me with my baggage up the many steps to the hotel entrance. Next morning the staff did not seem to be concerned about any of my problems with WiFi connection. I was treated with "polite" dismissal.
Convenient shuttle to the airport.
Several things were not working. The remote to the tv, lock to the bathroom and the loud room heater/cooler. It was cold that night and we turned it on. It was so loud! We were told to turn it off to get a good night's sleep. Fyi... rm 213... needed to get up early to get to airport but didn't get any rest.
Continental breakfast did not offer waffles or fresh fruit. Cereal options were bland. All foods available were dry. Had some packaged sweet breads. It was obvious the breakfast was minimal in options do it was sole for front desk staff to set up. Suggest you bring in staff to offer a more nourishing and healthy continental option. People want something hot in the morning.
Convenient to SFO airport; Shuttle service needs a little tuning up; breakfast adequate but could use a waffle maker. I liked the ease of getting into San Francisco via either I-2880 or Rte 101. Protected parking was good.
Walls are thin and the neighboring room was loud both into the late night and when getting up the next morning.
Great little hotel very close to the sfo airport. Very quiet at night, which is one of my top priorities for choice of a hotel. Staff very nice and polite, rooms very spacious and have coffee machine inside (again one of my priorities). If you arrive by car you'll have no issues with location, otherwise if you're thinking of heading to sf, excpect a long walk to the San Bruno bart station - although even that is refreshing after a 12 hour flight. Would recommend and stay again for an overnight sleep.
Not really a problem, more a challenge If you want to walk to the bart station to walk to sf (if you're not with a car), be ready to walk about 25 minutes.
Close to San Fransisco. 15 Min drive. Price compared to other hotels was good. Great bargain. Lots of places to eat close by.
Breakfast ends at 9am. Nobody gets up that early on the weekend. Hallways were confusing. We checked in at 4:30 and room was not ready. Staff a bit slow.
